Amira Nahas understands that family law is never just about legal issues. Behind every matter is a person navigating significant change, often while managing uncertainty, stress, and difficult decisions about the future.
That understanding shapes the way she works with her clients.
Since her admission to practice, Amira has focused exclusively on family law, helping clients navigate parenting arrangements, property settlements, and other family law matters with clarity and confidence. She believes that effective legal advice starts with listening. By taking the time to understand each client’s circumstances, priorities, and concerns, she is able to provide guidance that is practical, realistic, and tailored to what matters most to them.
Clients value Amira’s calm and thoughtful approach. She understands that legal processes can feel overwhelming, particularly during periods of significant personal change, and she is committed to helping clients feel informed and supported at every stage. Her goal is to simplify complexity, explain options clearly, and help clients make decisions with confidence.
While Amira has experience representing clients in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, she is passionate about achieving resolution wherever possible. She works closely with clients to explore practical pathways forward, with a focus on reducing conflict, minimising unnecessary stress, and helping families move forward sooner.
Amira is also committed to continually developing her expertise and is currently completing a Master of Applied Law (Family Law). Alongside her practice, she remains actively involved in the legal profession through the Law Institute of Victoria, the LIV Mentoring Program, and Victorian Women Lawyers.
Outside of work, Amira enjoys reading, travelling, staying active, and spending time with family and friends. She values the relationships and connections in her own life and understands how important they are to the people she works with every day.
