Ruby Leonard’s journey at Village Family Lawyers began in 2022 when she joined the firm as a paralegal. Since then, she has grown into her role as a lawyer, developing her skills alongside the team and building a strong foundation in the areas of family law that matter most to clients navigating separation and change.
What Ruby enjoys most about family law is the opportunity to help people feel less overwhelmed during difficult periods in their lives. She understands that legal processes can feel unfamiliar and intimidating, particularly when important decisions about family, children, and finances are involved. Her focus is on helping clients feel informed, supported, and confident about the next steps ahead.
Working closely with the Village Family Lawyers team, Ruby assists clients across a range of family law matters, including parenting and property issues. She is committed to providing clear communication throughout the process and believes clients are best placed to make decisions when they fully understand their options.
Clients appreciate Ruby’s calm and approachable manner. She takes the time to listen carefully, answer questions, and provide reassurance when circumstances feel uncertain. Her goal is to make the legal process feel more manageable by offering practical guidance and consistent support at every stage.
Ruby’s commitment to family law extends beyond her day to day practice. She is currently completing a Master of Applied Law (Family Law), continuing to build her knowledge and expertise so she can provide the highest level of support to her clients.
Outside of work, Ruby enjoys exploring the coastlines and beaches of the Mornington Peninsula and spending time outdoors. She also volunteers with the Peninsula Community Legal Centre, reflecting her commitment to supporting members of the local community who may need access to legal assistance and guidance.
As someone who has grown alongside Village Family Lawyers, Ruby is proud to be part of a team dedicated to helping families move forward with clarity, compassion, and confidence.
