After more than 25 years working in family law, Karin Onley understands that every family law matter is personal. Throughout her career, Karin has worked across a wide range of family law matters, building extensive knowledge and experience while supporting lawyers and clients through every stage of the process. More recently, she has expanded her expertise to include Independent Children’s Lawyer matters, further strengthening her understanding of the issues that can affect families and children during separation.
Karin is known for her professionalism, attention to detail, and approachable nature. She takes pride in helping clients feel supported and informed, recognising that even straightforward administrative tasks can feel overwhelming when people are navigating significant change in their personal lives.
Working closely with the Village Family Lawyers team, Karin provides invaluable support to both clients and lawyers, helping matters progress efficiently and ensuring nothing is overlooked. Her strong organisational skills and years of experience help create a smoother experience for families during what can often be a challenging period.

Outside of work, Karin enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring local restaurants and wineries, walking her dog, and attending regular Pilates classes.
