Natalie Shaana knows that by the time someone contacts a family lawyer, they are often already carrying a great deal. Uncertainty about the future, worry about their children or finances, and the emotional weight of significant change.
That awareness sits at the centre of how she practises.
Natalie was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2026, having completed a Bachelor of Laws with Distinction at Deakin University, where she received an Academic Excellence Award, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Leo Cussen Centre for Law. Before her admission, she spent several years supporting solicitors across family law and other legal matters in both private practice and community legal centres, including preparing court documents for the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and supporting clients through mediations and conferences.
That experience gave Natalie something valuable early in her career. A close, practical understanding of how family law matters actually progress, and how much difference clear communication and careful preparation make to the people at the centre of them.
Clients appreciate Natalie’s warmth, organisation, and attention to detail. She takes the time to listen properly, explains each step in plain language, and works to make sure clients always know where their matter stands and what comes next. Her experience working with clients in genuinely difficult circumstances has shaped a calm, patient, and supportive approach.
Like the whole team at Village Family Lawyers, Natalie is focused on resolution. She works with clients to find practical pathways forward, reduce conflict where possible, and help families reach outcomes that let them move on with confidence.
